The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will commence night work for paving operations on the Highway 285/50 intersection project starting next Tuesday and continuing through Thursday. This nighttime schedule is designed to minimize disruptions to the traveling public during the day.
Motorists should anticipate one-lane closures as crews work to realign and reconstruct the former three-way configuration into a four-way signaled intersection. In addition to the intersection improvements, the project includes resurfacing seven miles of U.S. 50, extending from the intersection to just west of Maysville. The night work aims to expedite the project while reducing traffic impacts during peak hours.
