CDOT Reminds Drivers to Expect Heavy Traffic Over Labor Day Weekend

The Colorado Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to expect additional traffic in many areas of the state due to numerous events and recreational activities taking place over the Labor Day weekend. 

CDOT is suspending all construction projects to reduce potential delays. Projects will resume on Tuesday, September 5th.

Colorado 82 over Independence Pass between Twin Lakes and Aspen will remain open through the fall until adverse weather conditions requires a full closure for the winter. 

The Colorado Department of Transportation, Colorado State Patrol and local law enforcement are conducting the Labor Day Crackdown DUI enforcement period this weekend to keep Colorado roads safe. Expect increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints.
