The Colorado Department of Transportation is paving a segment of Highway 50 between Sargents and Monarch Pass.

Motorists will experience full stops and up to 20-minute delays today through Wednesday.

Work is also beginning to replace an 85-year-old bridge on Colorado Highway 9, at the base of Hoosier Pass, north of Alma. Located between County Road 6 and 4, the current bridge is structurally deficient and functionally obsolete. Shoulder closures are currently in place. Expect one lane alternating traffic.

Colorado 9 will be closed entirely beginning on September 7th and continuing through September 14th. Motorists will be required to use Highway 24, Colorado 91 and I-70.
