The City of Salida has sent a letter to business owners about the upcoming F Street closure.

The letter says, “After last summer’s successful outdoor expansion of the F Street Plaza, the City will be facilitating the expansion of outdoor dining and retail spaces into parking lots, parking spaces and even public streets of the F Street corridor.  This would allow for any business—not just restaurants and bars—to occupy certain public spaces as appropriate, while practicing and enhancing social distancing and operating in open air conditions to limit the potential spread of Covid-19.  The City is committed to discussing these options with you and finding solutions.  This includes the upcoming closure of two blocks of F Street, which is planned for the morning of Monday, May 24th, and to remain in place for much of our summer to take advantage of Salida’s excellent summer weather.”

“To apply to use public property please fill out the City of Salida application, remit a conceptual site plan, and return the signed Revocable License Agreement to the Clerk’s office.”
