Buena Vista Trustees this week voted to enter into a contract with the Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District to purchase 50 acre-feet of water over a ten year period.
Buena Vista will purchase 5 acre-feet per year at $38,500 per acre-foot for a total of $192,000 per year. That brings the total of the purchase to just under $2 million.
