The Buena Vista Board of Trustees will conduct a regular meeting tonight. The virtual meeting begins at 7 pm.
Trustees will receive an update on a draft ordinance and ballot question for a special use tax on retail marijuana, will hear an update from Chaffee County Director of Housing Becky Gray on the creation of a Multijurisdictional Housing Authority, and the recreation department will discuss the opportunities around potential funding for the development of trails, pickleball, and additional restroom facilities in the River Park region.
New Police Chief Dean Morgan will be sworn into office.
An executive session is also on the agenda for trustees to discuss water rights issues and the potential future annexation of the Meadows Property.
