Buena Vista Schools were placed on “Lock-out” yesterday afternoon by the Buena Vista Police Department.
Buena Vista Police Chief Jimmy Tidwell said in a press release that the students were in no danger at any time.
Police received information yesterday at 2 pm from another agency concerning a social media post about schools. Due to the nature of the post, the Buena Vista Police Department had Buena Vista schools go into a “Lock-out.”
The Buena Vista Police Department is assisting in the investigation with another law enforcement agency involved in the case.
Salida schools were also briefly placed on “Lock-out” as a precaution.
