On Feb. 15th, members of the Buena Vista Police Department, along with the Chaffee County Tactical Team, executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence on S. Colorado Avenue in Buena Vista.
29-year-old Jack George Jacobs IV was arrested on charges of criminal mischief, retaliation against a witness, and intimidation of a witness. The charges stem from an incident on the night of February 14th where Jacobs is suspected of smashing out the window of a Buena Vista police car.
Officers of the Buena Vista Police Department previously arrested Jacobs on the morning of February 4th. In this incident officers responded to the area of S. Colorado Avenue on the report of a domestic violence incident. A female told police her boyfriend had forcefully abducted her, stolen her car, and assaulted her.
In that case, Jacobs was charged with domestic violence, third degree assault, aggravated motor theft, second degree kidnapping and obstructing police.
