The Chaffee County Planning Commission will hold a special meeting tonight beginning at 6 pm.
The lone agenda item is a limited impact review for the proposed Aspire Tours. A development that has been met with opposing from neighboring residents.
Owner Kathrin Troxler has submitted an application for a business development to be located on the east side of the Arkansas River off County Road 190 West that includes three limited impact reviews: 1) an outfitting facility including but not limited to adventure tourism: rafting, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, backpacking and skiing, 2) a seasonal employee campground and 3) a public campground including cabins and tent sites. Multi-passenger vans will bring visitors to the property from the Front Range. Seasonal employees will reside on the property to reduce vehicle trips.
