Air Quality Alerts in Effect Due to Smoke from Canadian Wildfires

Air quality alerts remain if effect as Colorado will see another day of hazy skies and poor visibility… all because of wildfire smoke from Canada drifting south into Colorado.

The air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups. Symptoms of eye irritation, runny nose or cough could be worse for people with lung or respiratory issues, or asthma or allergies. If you are affected, you are encouraged to limit time outside and close all windows.

More than one million acres have already burned in Canada with almost 30,000 people forced to evacuate. At last count, there are 223 active fires in Canada. Alberta has been hit the hardest with 94 active wildfires currently burning.

In addition to Colorado, air quality alerts are also in place for parts of Nebraska and Montana.
