Chaffee County Public Health has received a $15,000 grant to help with their Senior Health Assessment and Master Plan.
The money will help with a community wide survey as well as community outreach, events and interviews, which will all be put towards a master plan for the future. The funding comes from the NextFifty Initiative, with is a group that works to change the way people think and talk about aging.
In Chaffee County, one in four residents is considered a senior.
