The search continues for two escapees from the Custer County Jail.
Yesterday morning, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office was notified that the Toyota mini van stolen by the inmates was located in Walsenburg.
A team from Custer County was sent to process the vehicle and track leads on the two escapees.
The two inmates escaped from custody late Sunday night when they overpowered the detention deputy.
The inmates are 39-year-old Jerry Williams of La Junta and 30-year-old Bryan Webb of Walsenburg. Williams was being held on charges of attempted murder. Webb was being held on drug charges and assault on a Peace Officer.
