A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 pm this evening for the mountains above 10,000 feet.
The mountains could receive up to 7 inches of new snow today along with winds gusting as high as 75 mph. Plan on slippery road conditions over high mountain passes and blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility.
The lower elevations will see winds gusting to 40 mph and snow accumulations of 1-2 inches.
The valley will see a high of 35 today; expect an overnight low of 13.
Leadville, Fairplay and the mountains will see a high of 23, a low of 3.
The five-day forecast calls for sunny skies and milder temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday with our next chance of snow Thursday into Friday.
