3 year-old Ra is a special boy looking for a special home. As part of Ark-Valley’s routine medical procedure, all dogs receive a microchip, vaccines, spay/neuter, dewormer, and a SNAP 4DX test. Through this testing, Ra faintly tested positive for heartworms. This test was repeated as well as two other tests were sent off to laboratories. Ra’s blood sample had no microfilaria present at the time of testing. As well as Ra has shown no signs of heartworm complications.

As part of the adoption, Ark-Valley Humane Society will provide the medications included in the treatment protocol, as well as the appointment at AVHS, free of charge. Ra is an incredibly sweet boy. He is very calm and quiet. He has been introduced to other dogs prior to coming to AVHS and has reported to do well. Ra will make a wonderful companion to his adopted loving family!

Events: Ark-Valley Humane Society’s Good Pet/Bad Portrait ends this Sunday, February 23rd! There are still volunteer artists eagerly awaiting photo submissions of your pet to create a piece of art. Plus, your entry fees go towards helping the homeless pets of AVHS. The shelter is extremely full at the moment. Your participation in this fundraiser will help!
