The Buena Vista Community Coffee will take place tomorrow from 8 AM to 9 AM at the BV Community Center. This event brings together business leaders, elected officials, and local citizens to discuss community happenings. The coffee is free and open to the public.
Following the Community Coffee, the Chaffee Housing Initiative will host an informational meeting about the Chaffee Housing Authority’s two ballot measures for the upcoming election. The meeting will cover current and future housing projects, goals, and the steps the Housing Authority has taken to address the local housing crisis.
Voters will decide on two measures: a de-brucing measure that would allow the Housing Authority to retain all funding above the TABOR cap, and a half-percent county-wide sales tax expected to generate $350,000 annually for affordable housing.
