A wildfire has erupted near Interlaken Resort at Twin Lakes, burning 200 acres as of this morning. The fire, which started yesterday afternoon, is located 12 miles southwest of Leadville.
Fortunately, the historic buildings in the Interlaken Historic District are not currently threatened by the blaze. Firefighters are actively working to contain the fire and protect nearby structures.
