The search is underway to replace Salida City Councilman Harald Kasper. Kasper resigned this week following public scrutiny after he moved out of his district and into the county.
In his resignation, Kasper thanked the residents of Salida and the council for his six years of service.
The Salida City Council has 60 days to fill Kasper’s seat. Prospective candidates will have the opportunity to submit an application and go through an interview process. Council will then make the appointment.
To be a candidate, you must be a registered voter and have lived in Ward 3 for at least a year.
