[Original article] On September 30th at approximately 8:35 pm, Colorado State Patrol Troopers responded to a hit and run crash on Highway 115 in Canon City. 

A red motorcycle struck a white pickup, causing fatal injury to the 29-year-old rider and then the pickup left the scene.

The initial investigation revealed the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Highway 115. The white pickup was eastbound on Highway 115 in front of the motorcycle. The red motorcycle struck the white pickup ejecting the rider. The white pickup then left the scene. The driver of the pickup has not yet been identified.

Investigators need your help identifying the vehicle and driver of this hit and run. The vehicle is believed to be a white GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado crew cab pickup with damage to the rear end damage.
