Evacuations have been put into place for a 10-mile radius around a fire burning west of Trinidad.
The Titan Fire is just under 1,000 acres. A total of 23 residences have been evacuated. Officials say no structures have been lost. The state took over response efforts yesterday, and an additional 70 firefighters from across the state are headed to assist Las Animas County.
The Spring Creek Fire has burned nearly 3,000 acres near Grand Junction. Several smaller fires are burning in southwest Colorado around Durango.
