Red Flag Warning remains in effect for Saturday, May 7th, for low relative humidity and winds that could gust up to 60 mph.
The Red Flag Fire Warning includes the Eastern San Juan mountains, the Southern Mountains, Pikes Peak region, the central mountains, the San Luis Valley and all of the southeast plains of Colorado.
Winds will be Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Relative Humidity is 5 to 10 percent. Conditions will be favorable for rapid rates of fire growth and spread.
All of unincorporated Chaffee County, along with the Town of Buena Vista, are under State I Fire Restrictions.
The Bureau of Land Management has also issued Stage I Fire Restrictions for all BLM lands within Lake, Teller, Park, El Paso, Fremont, Chaffee, and Custer counties.
