A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Wednesday night (Feb. 2). Up to 10 inches of new snow is possible in our area.
An Arctic Air mass has moved over the area and will last until Friday. This system will bring unseasonably cold air, along with widespread moderate to locally heavy snowfall. The heaviest snowfall is expected to occur tonight and all day tomorrow. Travel will become difficult.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 35, a low of 13.
San Luis Valley will see a high of 31 and a low of 11.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 23, a low of 1.
