A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect. Heavier mountain snow starts today and continues through Saturday morning. Up to 2 feet of new snow is expected over the mountains.
Winds will also pick up as the system moves through. Expect gusts of 40 mph out of the west.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 39. Look for an overnight low of 25.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 35, a low of 13.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 21 with a low of 11.
