The November 2nd Coordinated Election is underway. Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder Lori Mitchell says that early ballot processing which includes signature verification, deconstruction, and ballot receiving continues. 

On the ballot for Chaffee County are races for Buena Vista and Salida School board seats, Salida City Council and Mayor races and three state questions. 

Voters who have not yet received a ballot, or need a replacement ballot, need to order a new ballot by today to have it mailed to them.  After today, voters will need to appear in person to obtain a replacement ballot.  Visit GoVoteColorado.gov to verify or update your mailing address. 

Beginning today, the voter service and polling center in Salida is open at the Scout Hut in Riverside Park from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am to 12 noon on Saturday. 

The voter service and polling center in Buena Vista will open at the community center on November 1st from 10 am to 5 pm. 

Both polling places will be open from 7 am to 7 pm on Election Day. 

24-hours a day, 7-days a week ballot drop boxes are located in front of the Chaffee County Courthouse in Salida and in Buena Vista at the County Annex Building at 112 Linderman Avenue. 

All ballots must be returned to the clerk’s office by 7 pm on Election Day, November 2nd.
