UPDATE: Facebook is starting to show some signs of life again.
No, it’s not just you.
According to tech site The Verge, Facebook’s outage started just before 10 am, and nearly four hours later, there’s no sign of restoration. No one from the company has offered an explanation of the issues or estimates for when the problem will be fixed.
Facebook communications executive Andy Stone says, “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
The Verge is reporting that Facebook’s engineers have been dispatched to the company’s data centers to try and fix the problem.
That means the outage, already Facebook’s most severe in years, could be further prolonged.
