The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Foundation proudly announces Sophie Pressly as the 2021 recipient of the Dr. William G. Mehos scholarship. Sophie is a senior at Salida High School and was awarded $1,250.
Prerequisites of the scholarship include declaring a major in a healthcare-related field; attending public school within the Salida Hospital District; a narrative explaining why they would like to receive the award; an outline of extracurricular activities; two letters of recommendation; and a copy of the student’s high school transcript.
The Dr. William G. Mehos scholarship program began in 2004. All applications are reviewed by a selection committee, and scored on pre-established criteria.
The HRRMC Foundation provides the hospital with financial support to facilitate innovative programs and provide state-of-the-art healthcare services to the Salida Hospital District.
