Chaffee County Commissioners continued the 1041 permit hearing yesterday for Nestle Waters North America’s request for a 10-year extension of their water pumping operations.

Information presented by Harvey Economics at yesterday’s meeting said Nestle’s activities in Chaffee County produced economic benefits averaging just over $764,000 a year in 2019 and 2020.

The economic analysis considered multiple positive and negative factors to calculate the net economic impact of Nestle’s operations.  The Harvey Economic presentation and the full economic report should be available on the county website this week.

Commissioners decided to continue the ongoing public hearing on May 4th, when they will consider the permit implications on the change in company ownership and the name change to Blue Triton Brands.

The Commissioners also discussed plans to hear from Blue Triton representatives on May 18th to respond to the economic report and allow for public comments on the report.
