A Canon City father was sentenced to six years in prison yesterday after running over his 2-year-old son in the driveway of their home last January.
Isaac Bullard had pleaded guilty in October to vehicular homicide in the death of his son Jesse.
Police say Bullard ran over Jesse with his truck while backing out of the driveway. Bullard then returned home 10 minutes later to find Jesse’s body. Bullard admitted to police that he had taken a “dab” of marijuana concentrate in the morning hours before the accident happened.
Authorities found an elaborate hash oil extraction lab in the home, along with marijuana cultivation and 79 marijuana plants taking up half of the living space.
