A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Sunday.
Snow will develop today over the mountains, spreading across the valleys this afternoon. The higher elevations could see a foot of new snow this weekend. The lower elevations could see 3-5 inches.
Expect very cold conditions tonight and tomorrow as arctic air moves in and winds increase.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 39 today. Look for an overnight low of 1.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 35, a low of 5.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 29 with a low of -5.
