A routine cell tower inspection off County Road 27A in Cotopaxi led authorities to an illegal outdoor marijuana grow, garnering more than 200 marijuana plants, 300 pounds of usable marijuana, a butane/hash oil shed and 13 firearms.

60-year-old Daniel Foster was arrested October 14 on charges of possession with intent to manufacture marijuana over 50 pounds, unlawful manufacturing of marijuana concentrate, cultivation of 30 or more marijuana plants and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Appearing in court yesterday, Foster waived his right to a preliminary hearing.  He is set to appear for arraignment on January 11.
