Three new felony obscenity charges have been filed in District Court against Herbert Lucas Scott.

The District Attorney for the 11th Judicial District filed the three new charges of obscenity last week.  The new charges state that between October 1, 2019 and August 13, 2020, Herbert Lucas Scott, knowing its content and character, unlawfully and feloniously promoted or possessed with intent to promote obscene material to a minor.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office to investigate an allegation of obscenity involving an adult at the Pony Patch at Doolittle Ranch on Highway 291 in Salida on August 13, 2020.

Agents with the CBI have conducted interviews and other analysis to determine the circumstances surrounding this allegation of an adult showing pornographic material to juveniles at the facility.

20-year-old Scott was taken into custody without incident and was booked into the Chaffee County Detention Facility, initially being charged with 1 count of obscenity and 1 count of unlawful sexual contact.

CBI agents ask families to speak with their children who may have been in contact with Scott and to call a designated tip line to report any inappropriate behavior that may have occurred: 303-239-4148

More charges could be filed during a scheduled court appearance before Judge Patrick Murphy this Wednesday morning.
