The 64 Alfa fire near Bailey is said to be 12 acres in size with 50 percent containment.
Homes in two subdivisions along Colorado Roads 64A and 64B have been evacuated. Several other subdivisions are designated as pre-evacuations areas.
Park County has issued a burn ban in the wake of the fire.
