Join the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area and the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association for the 33rd annual Clean Up Green Up event, coinciding with Colorado Public Lands Day tomorrow. Volunteers are encouraged to participate in clearing trash and debris along the Arkansas River drainage, spanning from Granite to Parkdale, in preparation for the upcoming summer season.
Registration is available online or in person for designated locations. Two check-in stations will provide volunteers with supplies and a lunch voucher for the post-clean-up volunteer picnic. Check-in stations are located at Riverside Park in Salida and the Buena Vista Community Center.
