A few strong thunderstorms will be possible across our area this afternoon and evening. Lightning, small hail and wind gust of 50 mph can be expected. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible capable of producing flash flooding on burn scars.
The higher peaks above 11,000 feet could see snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches through this evening.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 61 today. Look for an overnight low of 43.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 61, a low of 43.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 49 with a low of 27.
