A Red Flag Fire Warning is in effect for much of Southern Colorado today.
A combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity and windy conditions combine for high fire danger. Winds will be gusting to 35 mph out of the southwest.

Salida and Buena Vista will see a sunny, windy high of 73, a low of 41.
The San Luis Valley can expect a high of 69, a low of 35.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 55, a low of 29.
Afternoon and evening thundershowers return to the area late Thursday through Saturday.
