A Red Flag Fire Warning is once again in effect for today due to gusty winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels.
Winds will be gusting to 45 mph out of the southwest.
Conditions will be favorable for the rapid growth and spread of wildfire. High fire danger will continue into Wednesday.
Also, smoke from fires currently burning in southwest Colorado and northern Arizona will once again be visible in the area today.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a mostly sunny high of 85 today, an overnight low of 51.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 81, a low of 45.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 71, a low of 33.
