A section of Highway 285 between Buena Vista and Fairplay remains closed. 

Highway 285 is closed between Antero Junction and Highway 9. The detour is to take Highway 24 east at Antero Junction to Highway 9 north back to 285.  This will add 15 to 20 minutes to your drive time. 

The Colorado Department of Transportation continues construction on Highway 50 through Howard. The project includes the installation of slow-vehicle turnouts and passing lanes in both directions. Speeds are reduced to 40 mph through the work zone and a 10 feet width limit is in place. Work on the $4 million improvement project will continue through October. 

Chaffee County Road and Bridge department has closed County Road 162 just below Alpine due to flood damage.  There is no estimated time of reopening. Access Alpine by using County Road 292.  

Access to the F Street Bridge and parking lot in downtown Salida will be cut off tomorrow and Friday. A contractor will be cutting into the road to work on a water line.

His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee.
