A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for today. Heavy rainfall could result in flash flooding of low-lying areas, creeks, streams and canyons. Burn scars will be especially susceptible.
The coverage and intensity of showers and thunderstorms are forecast to increase today. More heavy rain may extend the risk of flash flooding into Friday.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 75. Look for an overnight low of 55.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 71, a low of 51.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 65 with a low of 41.
