We have been hearing that word is spreading that the firefighters are in need of housing. This is a rumor.
Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze is cancelling the evacuation order for the residents of the Methodist Estates and Boot Hill Subdivisions.
[Update] The Decker Fire is 6,482 acres. Fire crews have gained some containment on the north side; it is now 14% contained.
Effective at 3:00pm today, the Pre-Evacuation notice is lifted for Wellsville and Swissvale.
It was a good weekend for the Decker Fire. Growth was minimal, increasing only 200 acres Saturday into Sunday.

Despite gusty winds on Saturday, the Decker Fire only grew by some 200 acres. The fire is now 6,155 acres with 5 percent containment.
The evacuation center has been moved to the Rotary Scout Hut in Riverside Park in Salida.
Free mental health services are available to those affected by the Decker Fire today.
The City of Salida is keeping the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center open for firefighters and evacuees.
