Salida Cheer comes in 6th on first day of State Cheer

The Salida Spartan varsity cheer team came up just over 3 points shy of making it into the final four of the 2019 State Cheer Competition for 2A and 3A schools in Colorado.

Salida finished with a final total of 57.150 and ZERO deductions in their routine at the state meet. Montezuma-Cortez took 5th with 58.733 and Bayfield earned the final spot in the final four with a 60.350. The other three in the finals will be Alamosa, DSST: Byers, and Coal Ridge.

Salida was only one of four teams at their level which did not receive any deductions off of their raw score.
