Afternoon and evening thunderstorms will continue across the mountains today.
Storms will be slow moving and capable of producing locally heavy rain, leading to enhanced flooding risks, especially for area burn scars.
Storm coverage and intensity will begin to decrease tomorrow through the remainder of the week.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 87 today. Look for an overnight low of 55.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 83, a low of 53.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 71 with a low of 41.

His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
