Monday’s funnel cloud in Custer County near Lake DeWeese has been confirmed as a tornado by the National Weather Service.
Winds from the tornado were estimated at 70 mph, with rates as an F-0 range, indicating the damage was only to structures and vegetation.
Damage included several cabins and trailers in a residential area south of the lake.
