Winter Weather Advisory Remains in Effect Through Tonight

A Winter weather advisory remains in effect for Tuesday, Dec. 13th. Moderate to heavy snow is expected and travel will be difficult over mountain passes.

Winds could gust up to 40 mph at times.

The advisory is for Lake County Below 11,000 Feet and western Chaffee County above 9,000 feet.

Precautionary & Preparedness Actions

Slow down and use caution while traveling. Plan on slippery and dangerous conditions especially over mountain passes. Patchy, blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, and wind chills as low as 20 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5-1-1 or at COTrip.org.
